Congratulations Isaiah Bell


Isaiah Bell, who was a soloist in the Pacific Baroque Festival this year, has won the classical voice competition at the National Music Festival in Saskatoon.

Victoria opera singer wins national voice award

Victoria's Isaiah Bell, a rising star opera singer, composer and librettist, has just won the classical voice competition at the National Music Festival in Saskatoon.

He first won the prestigious Rose Bowl in the Greater Victoria Performing Arts Festival, joining the likes of Richard Margison, and then the provincial festival.

Only one representative from each province was competing at the national level on Saturday...

Bell will give a going-away concert Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Fairfield United Church.

The Festival 2009 - "Handel in London"

The 2009 Pacific Baroque Festival was a great success. Featuring the Pacific Baroque Orchestra, The Victoria Children's Choir, St. Christopher Singers and soloists Monica Orso and Isaiah Bell, the two concerts at Alix Goolden Hall resounded with music by Handel, Haydn, Purcell and Pepusch. The free Sunday Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral attracted over 750...
